Hopefully someone can help. I have a Gateway M1200 and my cursor won't track with the pen. I also have a dead spot that runs the width of the screen where the cursor just stops then catches up at the edge of the screen.
I have calibrated (numerous times), changed orientation, uninstalled and reinstalled the video drivers all with no result.
The cursor tracks fine with the fingerpad and with a mouse, I have also used a new pen to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated. All drivers and BIOS are up to date. |

Copied and pasted from another forum (source: yvilla): "It is a hardware issue; a loose or loosened digitizer connection. It has affected probably all brands of Tablets, but I know for sure plenty of Toshibas and Motions have had the problem. You may well end up having to send your Tablet in, but for a possible temporary solution try this: Apply gentle but firm pressure all around your screen. You may find it fixes or lessens the problem for a bit, as others have discovered. If that doesn't work at all for you though, you'll have to send your Tablet in for servicing sooner rather than later." |
