Topic:  Boot failure; CMOS date / time not set

Hi.. Anybody experienced a problem where the VS 1000 tablet pc gets an error on boot-up that say "CMOS data / time not set;  to Run the Setup.  F1 to resume"  I've tried F2 to enter the BIOS to correct, but it acts as if it does not recognize F2.  When I hit F1 it resumes the book and continues to boot.  It will not let me enter the BIOS.. and  finally it starts windows, but windows will not finish loading so it hangs.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

hai wmjgray, i used a bootdisk to start safe mode, and started something like bootlog options to start the computer with defaultsettings => after setting date and time it started okay.
